Student Assistant in robotics and autonomous vehicles

Job Description

The Cooperative Autonomous Systems research group focuses on connected and autonomous vehicles and vulnerable road users. We research the latest technologies and methods to improve road safety. In this work we are also interested in connected robots that can communicate with autonomous vehicles and interact with vulnerable road users.

You can support us as a student assistant and learn about the latest technologies and get an insight into research.

The tasks include:
  • Assembling hardware components (Arduino, robot e.g. turtlebot3/ARI, R-Pi etc.)
  • Supporting the implementation of user studies (Human-Robot Interaction, Virtual/Augmented Reality)
  • Extending software components (e.g. Python, C, ROS(2) and Unity)
  • Testing of applications (e.g. deployment of multiple mobile robots)
  • Contributing your own ideas or assisting with brainstorming.

You should be motivated and have an interest in new technologies as well as the automotive industry. Previous knowledge of any programming language as well as basic hardware knowledge is an advantage.
